Jaesung Lee

Dr. Jaesung Lee is an Assistant Professor in the Wm Michael Barnes ’64 Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Texas A&M University. His research focuses on data science approaches. He is interested in establishing advanced statistical models and data mining methods to address critical challenges in advanced Engineering processes and systems, including emerging manufacturing processes and IoT-enabled connected systems.

His research topics include

  • Mathematical modeling of complex Engineering processes
  • Uncertainty quantification
  • Statistical process and quality control
  • Nonparametric statistical modeling and machine learning methods
  • Data-driven process and product design
  • Prognosis
  • Operation and maintenance planning.

I plan to hire one or two Ph.D. students. If you are interested, please email me (j.lee at tamu.edu) with your curriculum vitae and transcripts (undergraduate and Master’s if applicable). Optionally, you can also provide your state of purpose and research publications/projects you worked on. Qualifications include strong mathematical and/or statistical backgrounds. Strong coding skills are preferred.
